MHS recognized for excellence in aviation education

There is a grass-roots aeronautics movement taking off in Oklahoma classrooms, and the aviation and aerospace industry is counting on an innovative program to reach new heights. The four-year “You Can Fly” High School Curriculum developed by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association is being adopted by independent school districts at a record pace across the state.

Deadline to change party affiliation set for March 31

Oklahomans who want to change party affiliation, must submit their change no later than March 31, Canadian County Election Board secretary Wanda Armold said. Voters may change their party affiliation online using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or by completing a new Voter Registration Application.

Sovereignty election bill passes in House

Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader, R-Piedmont, Tuesday won passage of a bill in the House that would allow Oklahoma to maintain authority over its elections should federal election law substantially change.

Sample ballots available for school board election

Sample ballots are available for the April 5 Mustang School Election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board’s OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ ovp or pick-up a copy at the Canadian County Election Board during normal business hours.
